What a Normal Person Thinks of COVID
We were frightened into believing you could get AIDS from a toilet seat.
I’ve contracted the recent variant of COVID. It’s not as bad as the other versions of this evil plague concocted by demented humans, but it will take you out for about a week.
Who thinks that way? Create a virus that mutates to continue spreading and harming.
Is this a test run for something more nefarious?
I had to look up what the current list of symptoms are for the recent variant because they seem to change so frequently. And in looking for the list I realized, I didn’t trust any of the sources. Not one. But based on the untrustworthy sources, it’s COVID. The sore throat is unbelievable. I’ve never had a sore throat like this. Good news, a legit excuse to eat miso soup and ice cream for a few days.
As a normal person, I can’t help but wonder how after almost three years is COVID still an issue?
Nobody really cares about this anymore, that’s why. It has served its purpose.
Fear. Control.
Every time I have to deal with any aspect of this lingering plague, I feel that rage bubble up about how we have been lied to by people who were supposed to be looking out for us.
Why weren’t we protected from this?
When Donald Trump trotted out Dr. Anthony Fauci for that first address on COVID, all I could think was that we were really screwed. (I was shocked he is still around. Mediocrity is rewarded everywhere I suppose.) I wondered if this pandemic is going to last as long as the Global HIV/AIDS Pandemic?
Probably. Dr. Evil is in charge.
Why the disdain for Anthony Fauci?
Fauci, was appointed to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the early 80’s. Most boomers remember him from introducing fear and panic about HIV/AIDS.
What is HIV/AIDS? HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the body's immune system. If HIV is not treated, it can lead to AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Back in the early 1980’s, it was a new and real health threat that was used to scare many people.
Getting back to Fauci, he wrote that AIDS could be transmitted not only through sexual contact and sharing needles, but also through “ordinary close contact” with the infected.
We were frightened into believing you could get AIDS from a toilet seat.
Back then we trusted what medical “experts” said. It turns out, you can’t get AIDS from a toilet seat, but think about the damage that idea did.
Back then, Fauci discouraged and prevented inexpensive treatments for AIDS and focused exclusively on an expensive treatment called AZT. I see him doing the same thing today with COVID, think Hydroxychloroquine. Hydroxychloroquine is an inexpensive prescription drug used to treat many autoimmune disorders that have been around forever and was first used to treat malaria. What would have been wrong with looking at that realistically? Where was the Scientific Method with that?
Instead they went for the expensive preventatives that normal, working people couldn’t afford or obtain. I often wondered during the height of the pandemic, how all of our “betters” were able to continue to party, travel, do normal things.
As always, follow the money. How many people who were making all the decisions surrounding this pandemic profited?
The other thing I saw Fauci do was focus on highly profitable vaccines brought to market quickly, both then and now. He claimed the HIV pandemic won’t be over until there is a vaccine; he says a vaccine will be the final “nail in the coffin” for that epidemic.
There is no vaccine for HIV to this day. Ever wonder why? They eradicated polio by finding a vaccine in the 60’s and then they were all out of jobs. That’s why.
There really isn’t a vaccine for COVID and yet they’re still pushing the one they’re currently making all the money on. It was concocted to address the first variant, that’s it. It isn’t a one size fits all vaccine or disease for that matter. But that’s all they’ve got, or all they ever invested time and money in. So that’s what we get.
They’ll tell you it’s effective, you’re supposed to believe it’s effective, yet with all of the mixed messaging and the realization it isn’t effective, you feel rage, helplessness, you lose trust in those who are supposed to be looking out for the American people.
It’s the ultimate in DoubleSpeak.
What is DoubleSpeak? If you remember reading George Orwell’s “1984”, DoubleSpeak was language that deliberately disguised, distorted or reversed meaning.
I have never been sure if the COVID shots did anything at all.
I remember back in the 1960’s waiting in a line at school for the polio vaccine. That was a real vaccine, it actually protected us from polio. But this, not so much so.
Then there was/is the theater of the mask. It became religion for some people. It still is.
They are not effective.
They never were.
Fauci knew this. He flip flopped on this issue as often as the wind blows at the beach. Instead of acknowledging a mask didn’t prevent illness, they gave us a dangerous false sense of security and probably made things worse. They had to give us something right? What’s even more disturbing is that even now, when you visit a hospital or a Dr’s office you’re still required to wear a mask. Shouldn’t these people know better? If they are still pushing the idea that masking works, then what kind of doctor are they really?
Certainly not following the science.
One of the best analogies with the mask insanity I have, I read in a comment section. It went like this: “Do you have underwear on? Do you have pants on? If you fart will anyone smell it?”
The damage done to individuals, families, businesses, American credibility. The anxiety spread among our children and young people, the least vulnerable. But it is the same thing as being frightened that you can get AIDS from a toilet seat. Isn’t it?
The control of Dr. Evil once again?
Was it intentional?
You can’t help but wonder. The timing sure was suspicious. Did people really hate Donald Trump enough - to harm every American? Did Dr. Evil? Laying around, staring at the ceiling, because you can’t do anything but that, your mind wanders.
I guess the point I am trying to get to is that there are always going to be individuals, intoxicated by power over you, who are going to do things that are meant to control you. I guess the trick is for next time, and there will be a next time, to be able to sort out fact from fiction using what you remember from this pandemic. It was your toilet seat moment.
