Popular culture today for many in my age group is harsh, many of us are afraid to say what’s on our minds. Most of us are pretty dumbfounded by the political correctness that has strangled American culture, so we stay silent. We don’t want those who “enforce” “politically correct rules” invading our personal lives, they are vicious and some are dangerous. So, we allow the fiber of our American society to continue to fray. Eventually it won’t be our world anymore, why bother?
These days, if what you have to say flows against what popular culture calls “truth”, comes retribution, which can seriously damage your well being and personal freedoms. But my age group still has lots to say. I feel if you are looking at reading a newsletter that has these questions on it’s “About” page:
Do You feel constant anxiety?
Are you unhappy?
Do you sometimes feel inadequate and isolated?
Are you exhausted all the time?
Do you experience fear more than happiness? Do you know why?
You just might need a break from “politically correct rules”.
From a fortune cookie: “If you do not have a plan for your life, someone else will.”
My newsletters may offer welcome, or, maybe sometimes unwelcome comments and perhaps new ideas derived from my observations of how uncommon, common sense is, covering a variety of topics.
I love satire and humor, and I generally drift in that direction. But sometimes there’s just something practical that needs to be said, I’ll say that too.
