So did she get the Viper back? I recently rented a Tesla Plaid for my boyfriend for his 70th birthday weekend. Oh my gosh, 0-60 in under 2 seconds! I was afraid to drive it!
She was a fireball for sure! What a hilarious story! What a kook!
A Dodge Viper is a nice fun car to drive.
When my mom turned 65 she wanted to drive a sports car... yeah, something like a Dodge Viper I would imagine, but my hubbs helped my dad find her the perfect car, it looked a lot like a Viper but it was just an Eagle Talon. She loved it. Red. She got lots of tickets - not speeding. She had a bad habit of not coming to a full stop.
Anyway, that car had adventures.
Then she got a Mercedes Coupe we still have it, it is crumbling but we put money into it's rehab so now we will drive it until we have had our moneys worth, it is great on the high way.
OH oops this was about wacky neighbors. Wow, Have we all got some wacky neighbor stories?
Yes, and it was mostly the stories that occurred while we were trying to raise children. so, there were some uncomfortable discussions at dinner time too.
one in particular is the house next door to us. Now a great family lives in it, but the original owners were a hoot. they were from Canada. Both of their kids were just "odd" needy-ish too.
One day, the dad came home and gave the wife one half of the houses worth, this was at the height of the real estate market in I believe 2007, a big boom in
Virginia. So he gave her $400K to leave. She took it. She was sad but I do not think they really had much of a relation ship.
Anyway, over the next many months (the wife moved up to Canada, she did well) the husband was dating two different employees of his real estate firm keller williams I think. The thing that bothered me was that Elizabeth's bedroom was right next to their house. So she would hear silly spooning sweetie pie talk in the driveway, and then the girl friend showing up late in the evening and staying over night.... My daughter asked about this behavior at the dinner table. Obviously it woke her up at night, so we moved her room to the back of the house/did a switcheroo because it had nice morning sun and a better view. Still, it just was indecent and disgusting.
well, All of a sudden, Kevin was his name, got FIRED from his very excellent real estate job. - and it was not good. No one else would hire him because he was a philanderer !. Then he moved out of the house and put it up for rent for a few years, came back and he had some weird girl friend (not real estate) with two big dogs she was determined to "train" with tunnels and other crap all over the yard.
My daughters had never experienced this kind of life style.
eventually they moved away and sold the house, because the market tanked and boy the house lost a lot of value after Obama.
He was such a weird guy. His kids were confused emotional and troubled, a few times they would show up at my door and I would let them in and they would talk and talk. The mom cut their hair and it always looked bad. Mom smoked like a smoke stack.
Anyway, that was the most memorable weirdness.
Living in Virginia, DC suburbs is always full of nutty people

Fun Story! I'm assuming their Marriage didn't last?
She went back to Australia without him. Got full custody of the kids.
Yeah, I didn’t see that one going differently.
