Looking at those mental institutions has always given me the creeps.
In Maryland they have an old property and some buildings on Crownsville Hospital which was a mental institution. I can have some respect for these places, many good people gave these sick nutty people a secure environment, and probably half of them were given productive daily tasks, but I did not delve too deeply into that world, It is creepy and depressing.
Then there is Greystone Hospital in NJ I never heard of until dad and I did some research on his uncle Gerard, whose wife tried to set up to have him murdered. Weird and crazy story, she was placed in Greystone Hospital.
Thank you. You should write a book about uncle Gerard! Fiction, psychological thriller type. I recently read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, it’s a psychological thriller with lots of twists. I googled Greystone Hospital, I’d never heard of it we/my family were never in New Jersey. Our family came down the Ohio river on a flatboat from Pittsburgh, originally from Germany and England. Creepy looking old building. Woody Guthrie was a patient there. I really liked Woody Guthrie back in college. It’s a shame a lot of these old places are just let go, I guess people are superstitious about repurposing them. With the research I did with this, I can see why.
And when the younger generations are gone, that's it. You aren't reproducing, so anything you hoped to achieve or pass on to the next generation is ... poof! Gone. Enjoy living under Sharia law because you're outnumbered.
A lot to unpack here. Social media is definitely not beneficial to the mental well-being in young people, or probably most of us.
well written, Collette.

Wow. You’re an angry individual.
Looked at his/her/it's profile, they think Charlie Kirk faked his death. Tells me all I need to know. #BLOCK
I was thinking 5150. Some folks just enjoy antagonizing and at my age I don’t play. Thanks for your continued support.
Definitely something not right in the head there.
I blocked and removed the individual’s comments.
Good call. Sounded like a psycho.
